A woman who rented an Airbnb quickly realized upon arrival the mistake she had made when booking, admitting she hadn't "read the description."
Alaina Quinn, 23, booked the Loft in Topeka, Kansas, during a trip on which she was visiting family. But when Quinn arrived at the accommodation, she immediately realized that she had booked what appeared to be an event space rather than a standard room.
"We expected the bed pictured in the video to be in a separate enclosed room and didn't expect the main room to be so large," Quinn told Newsweek.

On August 30, Quinn posted a video on TikTok showing just how massive the room was. In the clip, which has since been viewed more than 2.2 million times, the camera pans back to show a large bed in the center of the room. As the camera moves around, viewers see other features spaced out in the huge room, such as a living area and a dining area.

There were also two kitchens connected to one another almost as if a wall had been taken down to expand the place," Quinn said.

She shared the video with the text overlay, "When our family accidentally rented an Airbnb event space for the weekend because [we] didn't read the description."
Newsweek has contacted Airbnb for comment.
The Loft, per its listing on Airbnb, is "similar to most family suites at any hotel" but with "unique added bonuses." The space spans 4,000 square feet and includes a large, private primary bedroom, which is shown in the viral clip.

The property sleeps six people and includes two bathrooms, a kitchen or bar, a workspace and a rooftop deck with views of the city.
"It was really fun to stay in," Quinn said. "The pool table was fun to use with my dad, and the open carpet made my sister and I feel like kids again doing gymnastics across the floor."
Airbnb has grown into a popular accommodation option for travelers across the globe, with more than 448 million Airbnb nights and experiences being booked last year, according to Statista. In North America alone, 146 million Airbnb nights and experiences were booked in 2023.
TikTok users were largely amused by Quinn's video. One user commented: "The way I looked to the side and gasped when it panned out is wild! Cause mmmmm that's a big space with everything sooo spaced."
"Looking like my house in Minecraft," another wrote, while a user added, "My sims house when I first started building houses."
Another said, "That's a bow chica wow wow kinda space."
